ABOUT

Jonathan Silverstein has been involved in media and storytelling since the beginning of his career.  After a short stint in advertising and marketing with Eichon Communications where he helped launch Fiji Water, Jonathan moved to Los Angeles, where he was bitten by the news bug after landing a job as a researcher/associate producer for Channel One News.

After returning to NY a few years later, Jonathan continued producing TV news for Cablevision's News 12 Networks, first on Long Island and then in the Bronx covering local, national and breaking news in the competitive morning show time slot.

As digital news began to explode, he joined ABCNews.com, where he went from general assignment editor to sci-tech editor in a few months. Following years in the newsroom there, Jonathan shifted his attention to developing a model to monetize ABC News's digital operation, pioneering the field of branded content and native advertising. The work he did there was replicated by media organizations across the country and became the blueprint for a massive shift in digital monetization.

Like many former journalists with an affinity for business and after a short stint at The Huffington Post, Jonathan made the move to public relations at Golin, where he worked exclusively on Nintendo. He honed his skills as a strategic adviser to the most senior members of Nintendo of America's corporate team. In addition to bringing to the table a deep understanding of media, his ability to manage crises, develop creative and high impact consumer activations, raising and affecting the profile of the brand, the company's senior staff and their products.

Most recently, Jonathan worked with Microsoft, WB Games, Dixie and Quilted Northern at Catalyst PR. His expertise aided in landing one of the year's biggest branded TV segments with Conan O'Brien and in guiding the operation in revamping and delivering success for a multitude of clients in their efforts to reach and impact media coverage.
